On Friday 11 March. the Government decided that Norway would provide temporary collective protection to Ukrainian citizens. Ukrainians who have come to Norway will have their application processed faster.

Normally, nationals of countries outside the EU/EEA must apply for a residence permit for work purposes in Norway. In some cases, you do not need a residence permit if you plan to work in Norway for less than three months.

A refusal of entry or stay may be imposed on you pertaining to Norway and the Schengen area and, consequently, you may not enter Norway or you must leave Norway and/or the Schengen area. You will be issued a return decision with a deadline for departure

With permanent right of residence, you can reside and work in Norway indefinitely if you are an EU/EEA national or a family member of an EU/EEA national. You also have extra protection against expulsion.
